ShotTrek Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
ShotTrek is a basketball practice tracking app published by Workflow Wonders. This policy explains what information ShotTrek stores, when optional usage information leaves your device, the services involved, and the choices available to you.
App: ShotTrek
Android package: com.workflowwonders.shottrek
Publisher: Workflow Wonders, Colorado, USA
Privacy and support contact: workflowwonders@gmail.com
1. Summary
ShotTrek's core features work offline and do not require an account. Player profiles, drills, sessions, Make/Miss records, goals, notes, and in-app performance analytics are stored in the app's private storage on your Android device.
ShotTrek also includes optional Google Analytics for Firebase to help Workflow Wonders understand aggregate app use and improve the product. Firebase Analytics is disabled by default and remains off unless you explicitly choose Share optional usage data in the app. You can decline and continue using all core features, or turn sharing off later in Settings.
Optional practice and motivational notifications are also off by default. They are scheduled locally on your device after you enable them and do not send practice data to Workflow Wonders or Firebase.
ShotTrek does not contain ads, does not sell personal information, does not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking, and does not require a ShotTrek account.
2. Information stored locally
Depending on what you enter or record, ShotTrek may store the following in private app storage:
-
Player name or nickname, optional jersey number, team, grade or age group, handedness, profile color, and notes.
-
Drill names, instructions, court spots, coordinates, targets, progression, time limits, and round settings.
-
Practice dates, start/end times, time zone, completion status, session notes, and historical player/drill/spot snapshots.
-
Make/Miss attempts, spot, order, timestamp, and entry source.
-
Goals, targets, periods, and progress.
-
App preferences such as theme, accessibility and feedback settings, defaults, onboarding state, launch-tip counters, and your optional-analytics choice.
Workflow Wonders does not receive this local practice database through the app. It remains on your device unless you choose to export it, your Android backup/device-transfer provider copies it, or you separately share it.
Please do not enter unrelated sensitive information—such as passwords, financial information, medical diagnoses, or school login credentials—in free-form notes.
3. Optional usage analytics
Your choice
Firebase Analytics collection is off when ShotTrek starts and is not enabled until you consent. If you decline, ShotTrek does not intentionally send Analytics events. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Privacy > Share optional usage data.
Turning sharing off disables future Analytics collection and resets Firebase Analytics data and identifiers held locally by the app. It does not retroactively delete information already received by Google; previously transmitted information follows the retention practices described below.
Information ShotTrek intentionally reports after consent
ShotTrek uses an allowlist of aggregate events:
-
A completed practice's total attempts, makes, and misses; a broad duration range; whether the drill was built in, custom, or unknown; and the number of enabled spots.
-
A canceled practice's broad attempt-count range.
-
Theme family, accent, and light/dark/system mode changes.
-
Whether a JSON, player CSV, or analytics CSV export completed—never the file or destination.
-
Whether a JSON or CSV import completed and whether Merge or Replace was used—never the imported file.
ShotTrek does not intentionally send player names or IDs, drill names or IDs, notes, individual shot records, shot timestamps or selected shot spots, practice dates, backup/import/export contents, email or account information, advertising ID, contacts, camera/microphone data, or GPS/precise location.
Information Google Analytics for Firebase may generate
After consent, Google Analytics for Firebase may also process automatically generated app and technical information, such as:
-
App opens, first open, sessions, and engagement.
-
App version, install source, and Firebase SDK/app metadata.
-
Device category/model, operating-system version, language, and similar technical attributes.
-
A Firebase installation or app-instance identifier that is not a ShotTrek account ID.
-
General geographic information inferred from network information such as IP address. ShotTrek requests no Android location permission and does not send GPS coordinates.
Workflow Wonders uses this information only for aggregate product analytics: understanding adoption, session and feature use, theme preferences, and opportunities to improve ShotTrek. ShotTrek does not set a Firebase user ID and has no account that connects Analytics to a known person.
Advertising-ID collection and advertising-personalization signals are disabled. Advertising storage, ad-user-data, and ad-personalization consent are denied. The MVP does not link Analytics to Google Ads and does not export raw Analytics events to BigQuery.
4. Service provider
Google provides Google Analytics for Firebase and processes analytics information for Workflow Wonders under Google's terms and privacy practices. Google states that covered Firebase SDK information is encrypted in transit and may be handled by subprocessors that help provide Firebase services.

Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Analytics for Firebase terms and information: https://firebase.google.com/terms/analytics
-
Firebase privacy and security information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Workflow Wonders does not sell Analytics information. For Google Play Data safety purposes, Workflow Wonders treats Google as a service provider processing this optional information on its behalf, subject to the final Google Play definitions and account configuration.
5. Android backup and device transfer
ShotTrek allows Android's operating-system backup and device-transfer features to include the app's local database and preferences. Depending on your Android device, Google account, administrator settings, and selected backup provider, Android may copy this data to a cloud backup or another device.
Workflow Wonders does not choose or inspect your backup provider's copy. If you do not want Android to back up ShotTrek data, disable app/device backup in Android settings where supported. Restoring a backup may also restore your saved optional-analytics choice; you can always change it in Settings within the ShotTrek app.
6. Imports, exports, and documents
ShotTrek uses Android's document picker. It reads only an import file you select and writes only to an export destination you select. No broad storage permission is requested.
JSON backups can contain profiles, notes, drills, sessions, attempts, goals, and preferences. Shot CSV files can contain individual attempts. Analytical CSV reports can contain names, dates, labels, and summarized performance.
Files you save to Downloads, cloud drives, messaging apps, removable storage, or shared folders leave ShotTrek's private storage and are governed by your chosen destination. ShotTrek does not encrypt or password-protect exported files. You are responsible for selecting a trusted destination, controlling recipients, and deleting unwanted copies.
7. Data retention and deletion
-
Local data remains until you edit/delete it, clear ShotTrek storage, uninstall the app, or use a destructive Replace import.
-
You can cancel and discard an open practice, delete individual sessions or days, correct attempts, and use Erase all practice data. Archiving a player or drill is not deletion because historical sessions remain.
-
Clearing app data or uninstalling does not delete files you exported, copies you shared, copies retained by an Android backup provider, or optional Analytics information already transmitted with consent.
-
After you turn analytics off, ShotTrek stops future Analytics collection and resets local Analytics data/identifiers. Previously received event-level information remains subject to the Google Analytics property's configured retention period, while aggregate reporting may be retained longer.
-
Because ShotTrek has no account and does not send a Firebase user ID, Workflow Wonders generally cannot associate Analytics records with your name or reliably locate a record for a named-person deletion request.
For a privacy or deletion question, email workflowwonders@gmail.com. Workflow Wonders will address identifiable records it controls where technically possible and legally required.
8. Children and multi-player use
Parents and coaches may use ShotTrek to create local profiles for minors. Enter only information useful for basketball practice. Initials or nicknames can be used instead of a full legal name, and team, grade, and notes are optional.
ShotTrek is not designed to collect school credentials, precise location, health diagnoses, or direct communications from children. A parent or guardian should make the optional analytics choice when required by applicable law. Google Play target-audience and parental-consent requirements apply independently of this policy.
9. Security
Android's application sandbox protects ShotTrek's private files from ordinary apps, and Firebase Analytics transmission is encrypted in transit. ShotTrek does not add separate field-level or database encryption. Device security depends on your screen lock, Android encryption, account security, backup provider, and whether the device is rooted or compromised.
Exported files are outside ShotTrek's sandbox and are not encrypted by the app.
10. Permissions and other providers
ShotTrek declares Internet access for optional, consent-gated Firebase Analytics. It also requests Android notification permission on Android 13 and later only after you enable an optional reminder. Practice reminders wait for three days without a finished practice; motivational reminders are limited to once per week; ShotTrek selects at most one quiet reminder per day. Android may adjust the requested evening delivery time to protect battery life. Reminder eligibility and notification text are generated locally and do not include player names, drill names, notes, or shot records.
Android, Google Play, your device manufacturer, your backup provider, and any document destination you select operate under their own terms and policies.
11. Changes to this policy
Workflow Wonders may update this policy when ShotTrek's features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective and last-updated dates at the top will be revised. Material changes to data collection or use will be reflected in the app and Google Play disclosures before the changed behavior is released.
